Ingredients

1 package ground pork (or beef whichever you prefer, I use pork because it has more flavor)

2 containers of original crescent rolls

2 Jalapenos

8oz package of plain cream cheese

1 cup fresh parsley

Steps

  1. Take ground pork and saute in pan on medium until cooked all the way through

  2. Take parsley and Jalapenos and either chop together or you can blend them together in a food processor like I did

  3. Open crescent rolls and place flour on even surface, place crescent rolls on top of flower and pinch the seams together and roll out to make an even piece of dough, like a flatbread

  4. Take a spoon and spread cream cheese on dough

  5. Sprinkle ground pork on top

  6. Sprinkle parsley and jalapeno mix on top

  7. Roll dough in in one long sphere with all ingredients inside

  8. Bake 350 until golden brown, (TIP: when golden brown I will take it out of the oven and cut a piece of the ends if it’s still doughy inside put back in the oven for 5-10 minutes)

  9. Once done set aside to cool off for five minutes then cut into vertical pieces like in my final picture

OK so this recipe I literally came up with last minute with only a few ingredients that I had in my house, I had a last minute party to go to and I didn’t want to show up empty handed. I wouldn’t so much call this a summer recipe but a comfort food, I saved some and put it in the fridge for my husband, he made eggs in the morning and had this also. I want to try and making it with scrambled eggs next time and make it a breakfast dish I think it would work really well.
